My Face is a Deadline and Other Nonsensical Musings of the Day

It’s sad that it’s 8:30pm and I feel like it’s time to climb into bed and burrow under the covers until morning. The thought is tempting, but I know there’s other things I need to be doing, so here I am….blogging in a groggy haze.

I’m not entirely sure what that means, but it sounds bad. I tried Googling it, but came up with nothing that my tired brain could make a joke out of. Any ideas?

Could This be….Christmas Spirit?

We have a tree!! After being married for five years, this will be the first time we’ve actually really done Christmas. Launie has always had Christmas spirit, it’s me who cringes at holiday music and silly figurines of Santa. This year though, something has changed…and dare I say, I think I like it?

It’s a Girl! And Other Excitement This Week

So happy for my sister; I know a little boy was the hope, but I think a little Nissa will be awesome J I don’t know if Nissa ever reads my blog, but if you do, I am so excited for you!!

In between scouring Pinterest for gift ideas and Christmas things, I managed to lose the last pound for my 5-pound goal for class. I’m finished early, but I plan to keep going.

What Did I Think Would Happen?

I have been so bad. I mean, like, REALLY bad. Who knew Costco had such yummy pizza? Breakfast, lunch and dinner. All pizza. For 4 days.

And then, because I’m a little insane, I got on the scale

I am the world’s worst kitty mommy. When I pulled my chair out to sit down at my desk, I failed to notice that Neko was laying half on his shelf and half on the chair….

When I pulled out the chair he tumbled to the floor.

I suck at kitty parenting :(

It just sounded so good. With the cold weather suddenly upon us, I can finally start using the oven without making the house unpleasant.

Today, Launie figured out that the camera on his phone is REALLY cool. This picture made my day.

It’s day two and admittedly, part of me wondered why on earth I couldn’t have called this the 8,000 Calorie Fall Quarter Challenge. Of course the logical side of me knows that really wouldn’t help the cause, but the thought was there. Especially when I walked into Super One Today and the first thing I saw was this

I did good. Rather than throwing myself onto the table, arms and legs flailing devouring half the chocolatey yummy treats before it can crash to the ground, I walked right past it. Well, perhaps that’s not entirely true. I did stop to take a picture…and maybe a quick smell J

As far as my calorie limit, day two was and overall success. I have 69 calories to spare if I do no exercise today, and honestly, I really don’t see that happening.

In other news, I tried something new I found on Pinterest tonight and the results were …well….
