Chicken Pot Pie
Though this recipe is nothing incredibly fancy, everyone
loves it and it’s so easy to make. I made this for dinner tonight and figured
I’d put this out there for anyone who wants to give it a try.
Snow
I love the look of freshly fallen snow. There’s just
something about the way it settles gently over tree branches, sidewalks, and
everything it touches like a blanket. The world actually seems a little quieter
and somehow, if only for a moment, peaceful.
The Final Chapter
With only two remaining, the somber survivors crossed the
treacherous wasteland. The horrors they had witnessed fresh in their minds,
they ran as fast as their tired feet would carry them.
Finally, they saw it, the way out. They could barely believe
their eyes. Home was so close. Excitement and adrenaline flowed through their
veins.
Taking a Stand
Exhausted both physically and mentally, the brave soldiers
continued on their journey. As they began to approach the threshold into the
next territory, they braced themselves for the dangers they knew awaited them.
The Great Escape
With only three remaining, the worn and weary survivors
regrouped and determined that it would be best if they headed back.
Yahoo Answers Fun
Ever visit Yahoo answers? I created an account the other day
to take a look around. I even asked a question to see what kind of feedback I
would get. Needless to say, my responses were less than inspiring. I set the
stage up perfectly, or so I thought…
Flash Flood
Though flash floods are
common in desert areas, it doesn’t make them any less devastating. Bits of
debris and dampened soil were the only remnants of the tragic event that took
so many lives.
Desert Assault
Poor Dustin.
I imagine he once had a most
fulfilling life, complete with sunshine, a caring hand that pruned away dead
leaves, and water every now and then. In the last year his life has changed
drastically, only to omit all of those things.
His current lifestyle has
left him susceptible to certain problems….
Oreo Dessert (for lack of anything smarter to call it)
I don’t usually write about food,
it’s not really my thing, but this recipe is too good not to share. For the
record, I am not a cook by any means, so if I post a recipe and have
accomplished it successfully, it means it’s pretty foolproof.
A bit of warning in advance,
this dessert is incredibly sweet, so much so, that most will not want more than
one piece at a time. That being said, this is great if you’re having guests
over.
Procrastination Doesn't Pay
It’s amusing to me that I have a cleaning blog,
considering what a mess my house is tonight. Truly, it’s terrible. And yet,
here I sit, blogging. Family will be here tomorrow and my house looks
like…well...kind of like this…
At Least He Didn’t Suffer…
Er, well, at least that’s what I’d like to think. As
Angelica laid out the details of the last months of his life, the indifference
she conveyed was shocking.
“I moved in,” she explained glancing at the snow falling
outside her window, “ and I just never thought to water it.”
And that was that. No remorse. No regret. Not even a second
thought about the life she had so carelessly snuffed out. I cast a glance in
his direction.
Sad, sad plant.
